MagooClient Personal Edition is available at no cost. On installation you will also receive a free evaluation of MagooClient Professional which enables the Scriptframe test capability. Once this Professional evaluation expires, MagooClient will revert to the free Personal Edition which will continue to offer full standalone message editing and communication functionality on an unlimited basis.

MagooServer requires a commercial license. For new installations, a limited period/user evaluation key is automatically created for you to try out MagooServer functionality.

MagooClient and MagooServer installers are available for Windows and Linux. Please enter a valid email address below and download details will be mailed to you automatically. This email address will also be used to advise you of free MagooClient upgrades.

Version Information

The current version for MagooClient and MagooServer is V4.6.6 (August 2010).

Version 4 is a major new release and adds full RDBMS capability to MagooClient. This new version also allows MagooClient to use MagooServer as a centralized multi-user message store.

For a full list of bug fixes and feature updates, please see the MagooClient V4 User Guide

Upgrading MagooClient

As Version 4 uses a different message store, it is installed separately to MagooClient V3.x. A migration option is provided to allow existing Version 3 messages to be imported to the new store.

A new license key will also be required - if you have a current MagooClient V3.x support contract then you should have automatically received a new MagooClient Professonal Edition license key and an invitation to try out Version 4. For further assistance please contact support@magoosoft.com.

System Requirements

Windows Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7
Linux The installer has been fully tested on RedHat Enterprise and should be compatible with other Linux environments.
Java Environment The Windows and Linux installers contain their own Java Runtime Environment so no additional Java components need to be pre-installed.
JMS/MOM Client JARs If you wish to send and receive using JMS or native MOM (e.g. Rabbit MQ/WebSphere MQ Native) then the appropriate client JARs will need to be obtained from your messaging provider and installed prior to configuring a JMS or MOM transport. They are not however required during the MagooClient installation.
Database If you wish to use an external MySQL database to store MagooClient data or if you wish to install MagooServer then a properly configured MySQL database must be available during product set-up (post-installation). Please see the relevant MagooClient and MagooServer guides for details. Note: MagooClient can be fully evaluated using its own embedded HSQL database thereby avoiding the need for a separate database installation.
