Upgrading to a new MagooClient version
Do I need to uninstall the previous version when upgrading MagooClient? What happens to the current configuration and message store?
New MagooClient versions follow the 'install over' model and are backwards compatible with previous releases. That means that the previously installed version does not need to be removed when installing a new version and all user data (message store, configuration etc) will be retained.
Note:all user data is kept in the 'data' subdirectory under the MagooClient installation directory and is outside the scope of the installer i.e. it will not be affected by an install/uninstall.
