Introducing MagooServer

In response to demand for a more collaborative approach to message-handling, MagooServer was developed to provide a centralized, multi-user message store for MagooClient.

Rather than managing multiple MagooClient standalone instances, a single MagooServer can be deployed with all transports and other configuration details such as message type information managed centrally. MagooClient instances interact with MagooServer using secure HTTPS Web Services

MagooServer Features

gear Collaborative Message Handing: messages are stored centrally in multiple message boxes and accessed by MagooClient via secure Web Services. Support for hierarchical user groups allows message box access to be tailored to an organization hierarchy. Upgrade a single MagooClient to a full multi-user environment through addition of a Magoo Server.

gear Integrated Task Management: tasks can be automatically generated to monitor and report on user activity associated with message handling. Principles such as assignment, rejection, task history, deadlines and alarms are fully supported. Access to tasks can be tighlty controlled using the MagooServer user/group hierarchy.

gear Wide support for messaging products and standards: MagooServer provides out-of-the box transports for HTTP(S), Email (including secure POP3/SMTP), JMS (WebSphere, Apache ActiveMQ, Sonic MQ, generic), MOM (Rabbit, WebSphere Native) and scheduled File pickup.

gear Remote Console: all aspects of MagooServer operation can be configured and monitored using a remote Java console which interacts with MagooServer using secure Web Services.

gear System Monitoring: an integrated system monitor tracks message progress and automatically generates and sends alerts in the event of communication/routing errors or delays. Low-level message tracing can be dynamically activated to allow 'on-the-wire' transport activity to be monitored.

gear Immutable Master Copy MagooServer can be configured to store copies of all inbound and outbound messages for archive and audit purposes. This immutable store is accessible only to the System Administrator so messages copies are retained regardless of user delete actions on personal or group message boxes.

gear Local Message Delivery MagooServer users can exchange messages securely via the message store without requiring any other supporting infrastructure such as message queues or email.

gear Automatic/Manual Message Archiving for optimum performance, older messages and completed tasks can be automatically moved to a backing store. A cleanup mechanism allows the archive to be background-purged after a backup has been taken.
